Wednesday 29 June

Our first stop was to go to VK Zadar's state of the art indoor pool complex. Although we had already played this club it was a good session to practise tactical play, swimming and body positioning training. We also played more matches against the club and ended with more man-up situational training. Our Croatian guide and coach (Ozzie) has helped emmencely and has spent time with all the boys. After our morning training we headed for the quaint sea side town of St. Phillipe and Jacob where we had lunch. Ice cream has become a regular indulgence at most stops and where ever we go we are never disapppointed by the number of shops or the quality of the ice cream. We transfered to our Hotel - Hotel Panorama, just outside Sibenik. The view is truely panoramic and extends over the Krka River towards the city. After an afternoon of rest our day ended with a trip to Betina (also a quaint seaside town). Here we did an evening training session in a pool which was an extension of the harbour! We focussed a short but intense session on legs, passing and shooting. Tomorrow we are having the day off and have made arrangements to take a boat ride to the islands and national park of Kornati. We look forward to exploring hidden beaches and coves and swimming in the crystal clear water of the Adriatic. Until then! T
